1950 Jaguar XK120

An outstanding very early 1950 XK120 open-top sports model. Chassis 660290 is one of the oldest surviving cars retaining its original chassis, engine block and gearbox makes it very very rare. Restored in the 2000s and fully documented in the extensive history file including the original old English white paint which retains a virtually unmarked presentation today. The interior trim is as period in respect of colour being red and sand to dash and seats. However, the car is fitted with period recliner bucket seats to give the taller driver a chance to enjoy the XK.

The chassis is perfectly straight and undamaged as are the torsion bars. Underneath the car, we can see the correct early engine sump and other features supporting this very early car's pedigree. The bodywork is also 100% solid with good paint for an older restoration and car that has been used as it should be.

Upgrades to enhance the driving experience are disc brakes to the front and improved cooling with uprated radiator, header tank and auxiliary cooling fan. On the road, the car sounds magnificent with sports exhaust. Having celebrated the 75th anniversary of the XK120, it's hard to believe a car of this vintage can perform so well.
