2018 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The 2018 redesign of the Vantage has added an air of muscularity to the contours of the car and accentuated its fastback silhouette. The earlier iteration of the V8 Vantage was a more slender affair and the beefing up of the new design has done nothing to diminish its quest for perfect shape, form, and proportion.

The V8 Vantage is free of unnecessary exterior styling with the vented front wings perhaps the most prominent elements. Here, finished in hypnotic Cinnabar Orange with contrasting black exterior package, the hue underscores the full character and design of the Aston.

Under the aluminium clamshell bonnet is a 503bhp, twin-turbocharged 4-litre V8 engine, generating 505 lb-ft of torque at 2,000rpm, coupled to an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox channelling the power to the rear wheels.

Despite being branded the younger sibling of the Aston Martin range, its sumptuously decorated interior, sonorous engine note and striking exterior styling mean that once you get behind the wheel, there's certainly no compromise. The Vantage delivers a dramatic, visceral driving experience that punches well above its price point.
