Automotive elite assemble at Salon Privé

Various members of the PaddlUp team attended the prestigious event across multiple days – one on the press day (31 August) and another on hand with our partner, Four Marks Supercar Owners Club on 4 September.

Upon entry, guests were greeted by Prodrive’s display of past & present race cars – predominantly Aston Martins joined by a few classic rally Subaru Imprezas.

Walking onto the grounds of Blenheim Palace, a huge variety of dealer stands popped into view, with their current offerings in pride of place. Amongst them was Simon Furlonger with its Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari 599 GTO and their F50 that had been split in half, displaying its innards for dramatic effect.

Then came Ferrari –  Lockton Performance at the far end were presenting ‘the big five’ in all their splendour – but stunning 250 GT SWB, 250 GTO, and 275 GTB/C specimens were also present to be ogled by the crowds.

The central tent area was reserved for Rolls Royce and Salon Privé hospitality, but surrounding the tent were display areas for brands to show their cars, such as the Viritech hydrogen/electric combo car, Radical and many more.

Venturing clockwise around the venue, visitors were greeted by three incredible Paganis comprising a Zonda S, a Zonda 760 Oliver Evo Roadster and a Huayra.

That was swiftly followed with the Platinum Collection, inviting you to cast your eyes over a Porsche 959, Lamborghini Reventon, McLaren SLR 722GT, a pair of McLaren F1s, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Bugatti EB110, a Weissman, a Testarossa Spider, an E-Type and a Porsche 911 GT1 to name but a few.

Further afield, guests could find some of the automotive industry’s premium brands such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bugatti and Ferrari as well as private jet charter companies and Thornton Hundred Motorcycles. Boodles jewellery hosted a VIP section in an eye-catching glass building. 

The manufacturers took part in a display parade around the venue and onto the main stage. On Sunday, Salon Privé welcomed car clubs such as our partner Four Marks Supercar Owners Club to bring members' cars to display alongside the main manufacturers of the event.
