More:

Are you ready to own a piece of motorcycle history, meticulously resurrected to its former glory? This  stunning Ducati 996 - a true motorcycle legend - has been reborn with passion and expertise.

The journey begins when this Ducati was rescued as a lockdown project from a passionate gentleman in the vibrant coastal town of Brighton. The bike had a bit of a saga to its name, as sometime prior to 2016 a nagging noise from the engine prompted a thorough investigation, revealing worn main bearings and crankshaft issues. But that's where the magic started!

The entire bike was lovingly stripped down for a full restoration, but fate had other plans. The previous owner sadly passed away, and the Ducati found itself tucked away in boxes, patiently awaiting its rebirth. In April 2021, the current owner stepped in and embarked on a mission to make this Ducati shine again.

Here's the juicy part: No expense was spared in the revival process. The frame, wheels, headlight mount, and rear subframe were meticulously repainted in the original factory grey, bringing back that iconic Ducati allure. The front and rear suspension received a thorough overhaul, ensuring a smooth and responsive ride.

No Ducati is complete without its beating heart. The rebuilt engine was reinstalled with all the care in the world, adorned with new plugs, cam belts, and a fresh oil filter. To guarantee a silky-smooth experience, new swing arm bearings, a new headstock bearing, and new front wheel bearings were installed. The suspension was then lovingly reassembled, complemented by brand-new tyres for ultimate grip and safety.

The bodywork also underwent a transformation with white number boards and gold pinstripes adorned; not stickers, but instead painstakingly painted on. Inside the fuel tank, a new fuel pump, filter and pipes were expertly fitted. Every nut and bolt that plays a role in this masterpiece was anodised, preserving that "like new" condition. The exhausts were polished to gleaming perfection and a new battery ensures reliable starting each and every time.

The attention to detail is astounding; even the tiniest original screws - those that join the two-piece fairings together for example - are brand new, sourced directly from Ducati.

Here's where experience comes into play: With over 30 years of Ducati dedication, including maintaining his own bikes and even competing in the New Era Sound of Thunder Championship, the current owner has poured his heart and soul into this rebuild. We can confidently say that this Ducati 996 is flawless, with every component meticulously restored to peak performance.

Now immortalised in Ducati Lore, this stunning example could be described 'as good as new' and we fully recommend visiting the PaddlUp Rooms to see for yourself.
