When launched at the 2015 Autosport International show the Ariel Nomad caused quite the stir from the public and press alike. Here was a manufacturer whose bread and butter was out-and-out fast road/track cars, each meticulously sculpted with aim to be the fastest car on the black top appearing with what appeared to be an RC buggy on steroids.

Of course, we now know the Nomad is so much more that what some feared to be more of a marketing exercise rather than serious vehicle; developed to offer an entirely new all-terrain high-performance driving experience, the Nomad dared go where no Atom had been before. The Nomad was developed to be tough; the bronze-welded chassis of the Nomad extends over the cockpit creating a complete safety cage for example, and while it was a freshly developed model it still remained undeniably Ariel.

This particular example was handsomely specified by its enthusiast first owner and has been cherished and loved by each of the following three custodians. As well as all the 'must have' Nomad options - such as the supercharger conversion, Ohlins suspension, Alcon braking upgrade, stainless steel fixings, spare wheel carrier and more - the original purchaser chose to add in a multitude of further options such as the hydraulic handbrake, the WARN winch and bumper, 3" FIA seat harnesses and heated front screen but to name a few. A special note is made to the option of full under-body protection - this is the first Nomad we have personally seen with the full under-body protection package.

Presented here with just 3,194 miles, the condition is outstanding and with very little evidence of use. To our understanding, this example has also not been subject to any harsh off-road usage and this is backed up by its stunning condition. In fact, when serviced at Gatwick Honda July 2022 - only 751 miles ago - it was noted the front and rear brake pads were only 5% worn, owing to its gentle usage.
