PaddlUp and PopBangColour unite at the Bicester Heritage Scramble

25th April 2022

PaddlUp joined PopBangColour for the two-day event at Bicester Heritage

PaddlUp and PopBangColour attend the Bicester Heritage Scramble

The April Scramble at Bicester Heritage was held on 23/24 April and enabled guests the opportunity to explore the historic motoring hub, with 45 industry-leading specialists providing behind the scenes access to their showrooms and workshops. From those seriously interested in collecting cars to your everyday enthusiast, the scramble had something for everyone.

The PaddlUp team – and our signature F40 – were in attendance across the two days, bolstering PopeBangColour’s offering at the event and spreading the word on our comprehensive supercar auction service.

Ian Cook – the mastermind behind PopBangColour – is a contemporary British artist renowned for producing artwork with radio-controlled cars, car tyres and toy car wheels. Ian’s work is industry renowned having featured on Top Gear among other high-profile installations and, in 2022, a partnership with PaddlUp sprang to life.

The PaddlUp showroom, also known as the Gallery houses numerous pieces of PopBangColour artwork and so it seemed a natural fit to collaborate at an event such as the Bicester Scramble.

A huge variety of cars were on display. Each of which was highly presentable and unique – in keeping with PaddlUp’s selective auction entry requirements. Among those being shown was an iconic Lancia Delta Integrale Evo, a true motorsport legend in the shape of a Jaguar D Type, a distinctive Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing and an elegant Ferrari 250 GT. A truly eclectic mix.

PaddlUp weren’t at the event to sell cars or promote any of our auctions per se, but our expert team were on hand to talk to the public about the services we offer. Both Tim, our CEO and Jacob, one of our consignment team were highlighting our expertise in the financial sector as well as our ability to identify a good investment opportunity and the right time to sell.

As always, fans and exhibitors alike found the scramble to be a resounding success. The impeccably well-run event was extended from a single day to two in 2022 and that certainly seemed to add to the experience.
